Our first Postal Auction will be 30th March 2019
After our December sale, future public auctions have been cancelled. We will instead be holding 'postal only' sales. Barry will manage the auction from Devon and Paul will continue to run his well established shop in Epsom, whilst receiving suitable auction lots, as we have always done. Barry will return to the shop regularly, to collect consignments for the auction and say hello to our regular customers. These visits will be advertised on our website.
For the majority of you there will be little change but we appreciate and understand that some of our customers will be affected by this decision not least those of you who enjoy attending public auctions and rummaging through boxed lots.
Due to the nature of running a postal only sale, we can only accept lots up to shoe box size (anything that we can send Royal Mail small parcel i.e less than 2 kilos, as a guide). Single lots, folders and albums will all be accepted but we will no longer accept mixed box lots.
All auctions will be available for viewing in the shop in the usual way. It is also hoped that significantly more pictures of lots will be available on our website.
Although we will not accept box lots for auction, Paul will always be receptive to buy them direct from you, to then retail them in the shop. Regular customers in the shop will of course know that mixed general boxes are nearly always available for sale.
The date of our first Postal Auction is 30 March 2019. The catalogue for this auction will be available from the beginning of March and will be posted below
The last public Stamp Auction was on Saturday 8 December 2018. Please click on the link below to download a copy of our latest Stamp Auction catalogue so you can get a flavour of what we have on offer. We are very happy to continue to receive new consignments which we will include in our first Postal Sale in the new year, bearing in mind the restrictions we have detailed above
Each of our Auctions have many hundreds of lots so there is plenty of action but it also means that we are always searching for quality items and collections to put under the hammer.
For buyers and sellers our rates are very competitive – just 12% for vendors, 10% for buyers.
Our first Postal Auction will be on 30 March 2019. Further dates for the coming months will be confirmed in due course.
